IKEA has opened its first concept store in Puerto Rico, in the Bayamón municipality.
The store is organized to combine inspiration and the products that IKEA offers to each core area of the home into a single department, making it easy for customers to shop. Also, the popular IKEA restaurant is part of the store with their popular Swedish meatballs and sustainable salmon.

The store currently employs directly and indirectly over 550 people. The initial investment surpasses the $50 million mark. It is the first store in the island to offer the complete self-service like in the states.
